After three years of fun in Elgin Park, the decision has been made that the Uxbridge Legion Ribfest will be cancelled. There are many reasons with the main one being financial liability should the event be hit with bad weather. There are costs that are not covered by insurance if the event were rained out and the Legion would be responsible for that they can't afford to lose.

Thanks to the wonderful legion members for volunteering their time and energy to make this event so successful for the last three years. You made me feel proud to be part of this great organization.

Thank you to my wife for putting up with all the meetings that I attended to make this a successful event.

Thanks to the Ribbers , the food vendors and non food vendors for coming out to Ribfest and spending three days in Elgin Park to make it a success.

A special thanks to all the sponsors that we have had over the last 3 years, you certainly stepped up and showed the community what great corporate citizens you are.

And finally, thank you Uxbridge for your support.
