CHANGES
TO MEMBERSHIP IN 2007
In order to fulfill and maintain expectations from our members as stated in the Networking Group Mission Statement set out in 1998:
"We share ideas, experiences and expertise in support
of each
other and provide cost-effective ways to promote our members' businesses
throughout the Uxbridge community. Every business member can be
a contact, for word-of-mouth referrals."
We are looking into building strong business relationships, trust and knowledge among our members.
Our meetings provide opportunities for members to meet and to build a network of resources for
word-of-mouth referrals.
IMPLEMENTING
MEMBERSHIP RULES EFFECTIVELY on February 13,
2007
- Upon
your membership renewal in 2007, your business listing will not
be included on the alphabetical listing of
the Uxbridge Online Business Directory at www.uxbridge.com/business.
However, your business will
continue to be listed under the Uxbridge Networking
Group listing on the business directory and on the Uxbridge Networking
Group website. Members
who advertise with Uxbridge
On-Line Inc. will continue to have their business listed in the alphabetical
listing on www.uxbridge.com (advertisement with Uxbridge On-Line Inc.
starts at $160+ per year).
- We
will
start taking attendance of our members at each
of our meetings
starting February 2007. Upon the time for your
membership renewal in 2008, we will implement
the following guidelines in determining your membership
rate for 2008:
- Members
who attend a minimum of 6 meetings/functions out of 18+ meetings/functions
(e.g. Fall Fair, Christmas gathering) in 2007 will
continue to
pay $60 as their
2008 annual membership fee.
- Members
who attend less than 6 meetings/functions out of 18+ meetings/functions
being held in 2007 will be charged $99 as their
2008 annual membership
fee.
As the number
of requests to join the Uxbridge Networking Group from businesses
in neighbouring townships has grown since last September,
decisions have been made through discussions at our meetings regarding
the acceptance of new members
from neighbouring townships.
Please
note that for residents of Uxbridge Township or those operating a business
in Uxbridge Township, membership will not be subject
to the following rules.
- Existing
member who has moved to neighbouring Township may continue to
be a member. New renewal rate guideline as mentioned above
will
apply in
2008.
- Business
from neighbouring township may join if their business is not in
the same profession as any of our Active
Members.
The term "Active Member" meaning
a member who attends at least one meeting in the
past 3 months.
